History and Culture
The history of Ruoqiang Gray Dates can be traced back to the period of the ancient Loulan Kingdom in the Western Regions, approximately the 3rd century BC. When Loulan established its country, Ruoqiang dates were also known as Loulan dates. Ruoqiang is located at the junction of the Taklamakan Desert and the Altun Snow Mountain Range, a beautiful and mysterious place with an altitude of about 800 meters, far from the ocean. There are up to 210 frost-free days a year, with high temperatures, little rain, and large temperature differences between day and night. These natural conditions have created the unique quality of Ruoqiang Gray Dates.

Name Origin Ruoqiang Gray Dates are called "gray dates" because before they ripen and turn red, the dates turn gray all over, as if covered with a layer of frost, hence the name "gray dates." After natural drying, they turn deep red.

Morphological Characteristics
Ruoqiang Gray Dates have a long inverted oval shape, with a fresh red skin, small nucleus, thick flesh, and a chewy, dense texture. When dried, they are deep red, leaving a lingering fragrance in the mouth. The drying rate of Ruoqiang Gray Dates is 60%, and the total sugar content can reach 74.88% after drying.

Nutritional Value
Ruoqiang Gray Dates are rich in vitamins C, A, B1, B2, B6, and B12, as well as essential amino acids and minerals such as calcium, zinc, iron, potassium, phosphorus, and copper. They can not only enhance the body's immune function but also beautify and nourish the body, especially suitable for office workers, children, and postpartum women.

Consumption Methods
In addition to direct consumption, Ruoqiang Gray Dates can be used for cooking porridge, making soup, brewing tea, and other culinary methods. Their unique flavor and nutritional value make them a very popular ingredient.

Purchase and Storage
Ruoqiang Gray Dates usually mature in November and naturally dry on the tree. When purchasing, choose dates that are purplish-red and fleshy, avoiding those that are deep red, as true Ruoqiang Gray Dates are purplish-red before ripening and turning red.
